This famous site of Nether Largie above has been surveyed and analysed by many visitors, and it has been suggested that the stones  here probably functioned together as a lunar observatory. 

Temple Wood is yet another famous site (above left) and (above right) one of the many cairns which can be found throughout Kilmartin Glen.


The hotel lies within a conservation area and is surrounded by historical cairns and henges.

The hotel is situated within Kilmartin village, some 8 miles north of Lochgilphead and 30 miles south of Oban on the A816.
